I am reminded of Gustave Courbet’s breezy, salty seascape paintings, as the waves gently nudge themselves onto shore, conjuring white foam atop pearly sand – our souls awash in water and oxygen.  Click the link below to view Courbet’s transcendent seascape painting of The Etretat Cliffs after the Storm (c. 1870).
