Strange tranquility

Good Morning all! Here is a past poem to get you energized and going! Hope you enjoy 🙂

The ancient eavesdropper

The day began anew

as clean light came streaming through.

A cloak of cloudy atmosphere and misty dew

fell upon the rooftops, windows, sparrow nest and blade of grass –

quiet and elegant, the morning graces itself with the sun’s warm existence.

Composting earth stirs under the whirl of the wind, caught in strange tranquility

between burrowing worm and beak of a robin.

Magically, the black night’s void is filled by blue sky,

the horizon line emerges out of turbid air, the ceiling of the upper stratosphere

opens so we can be witness to another galaxy in outer space, so far, so near.

If only to briefly absorb the essence of infinite fabric, stretched on a canvas,

crossing constellations and planets, my veins churn with vibrant color

as I bleed out my life’s creation, I move one step closer.

Love the rhythm of this. Perfectly dialectic.
