Eavesdropping on fuchsias

What cool-headed clarity can be found underneath a well-watered hanging basket!

The ancient eavesdropper

Image

Plastic baskets
swing skyward
affixed to two
strong hooks,
wherein a flush of
fuchsias sob
uncontrollably,
well-watered
tears tapping
cool messages
atop my
thinking cap
which peruses
under its path.
Soon, I spy
bumblebees
bouncing
bloom to bloom,
humming hums
in harmonious tunes,
purple and pink-petaled
curtsies with every
wind whisper
and passing visitor.
Oh, what joy in witnessing
life’s manifold mysteries!
