Amazing. Reminds me on August 1999 in Austria, watching the total solar eclipse over Europe. I loved to see the shadow waves running over the ground, like under water.

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! Such an amazing, transcendent & sublime experience! The eclipse inspired me beyond belief, as it did you in 1999. Aren’t we lucky to have seen this in our lifetime? Have a wonderful week 🙂

Must have been wonderful ineed. I’ve only seen a partial one, and that was startling enough.

    • Yes, it was an incredible sight to behold, my friend! Hopefully you’ll be able to see a full eclipse…next one is in April 2024 crossing the Midwest & eastern US. Have a wonderful Sunday!
      Tyler 🙂

  6. Although there is nothing more satisfying to a photographer than getting that perfect total eclipse shot, the ones of the crescent shaped shadows are stunning. I got some of those myself as shadows played on windsurf gear! Beautiful shots, Tyler!

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! I knew I didn’t have the right lens or camera to capture the eclipse or at least do it justice, so I focused more on the shadows on the ground. What a joy to witness & incredible sight to behold! I’m glad you had a chance to experience & capture…this brief moment will last a lifetime in my mind 🙂 Have a wonderful Sunday & week ahead, Terri!

Love how leaves filter the light to show the eclipse shape! A friend in WA sent me a photo like that from her homestead – lovely! So glad you have these to post and share, Tyler – thank you!

    • Me too! You are most welcome…it’s my pleasure 🙂 Thank you for your kind words, my friend! An incredible sight to behold…a brief moment that will live forever in my memory 🙂 Enjoy your Sunday & all the best in the week ahead!
      Tyler 🙂

We were able to see it in totality but didn’t see those cool shadows. Nice shots!

  9. I love the crescent shaped shadows! I didn’t know to look for those, and we only had a partial eclipse here in Texas anyway, but now I will be ready for those when we get the eclipse in 2024! 🙂

    • Me too! I didn’t have the right lens to capture a close up of the eclipse, so I focused instead on the crescent shadows. It was such an amazing sight to behold. I’m glad you’ll be able to experience a full solar eclipse in 2024! Have a wonderful week ahead & thanks for stopping by my blog!
      Tyler 🙂
