Weekly Photo Challenge: Against all odds

1-img_7203

A tiny Western hemlock seedling roots itself at the edge of a worn wooden bridge, growing seemingly on thin air, its boughs hovering over the trickling creek below. This photo shows that we are all creatures of chance and circumstance, molded by our respective environments. Against all odds, Nature always finds a way!

Nature does always find a way. This is lovely Tyler.

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! Nature fills me with hope for a brighter tomorrow. No matter our plight in life, we can gain strength from circumstance. Just the fact that we are born on this life-giving planet out of billions & billions of stars is amazing…against all odds, as it were! Have a wonderful week ahead, Miriam!
      Cheers,
      Tyler 🙂

You’re so right Tyler. Your comment reminded me of my deeply philosophical 16yo son. That’s the sort of thing he’d say. Have a great week yourself.

  2. Wonderfully beautiful.

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! In Nature, I find the calming center of the universe. Seeing this seedling root on next to nothing gives me hope that no matter our plight, we can transcend our troubles & gain strength from circumstance. I hope you have a wonderful week!
      Cheers,
      Tyler 🙂

  3. Lovely to see nature at its most resilient.

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! It is refreshing to see Nature prevail against all odds! This seedling gives me hope that we can make it wherever we root ourselves. Have a wonderful week, Robbie!
      Cheers,
      Tyler
