This picture is tricking me. I see a boot and a reflection, but I can’t figure out what the picture is… πŸ™‚

    • Jessica, this is a photo I took while standing in the middle of the Siuslaw River. I’m wearing chest waders with boots, an orange vest and am holding a camera pointed down at the water. That is my anonymous (faceless) outline reflected in the water (as well as the canopy and sky above me) and my boots and river rocks at the bottom. For me, Nature is the embodiment of my life, and without these wild spaces, I would be a shadow of myself (as it were). Hopefully this photo makes sense now. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Jessica!

Wow! How cool! This is really different! I love abstract. It really could be anything, but I love your explanation to Jessica what it also is symbolically to you. Beautiful Tyler!

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! I’m glad you enjoyed my photo πŸ™‚ Lately, I’ve been trying to give my re-interpretation of the photo challenge. This week, I wanted to play with the concept of paradox, comparing two opposites like face and faceless. While my facial/physical features are unrecognizable, they have been replaced with River rock, water (which comprises 70% of our bodies!), a tree and the sky. These elements are still familiar and they can help us see how we are part of the whole. Hopefully this makes sense πŸ™‚ I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Mary!

Oh my gosh!!!! I just looked again without using such a “I’m missing something eye”. I SEE YOU. Before, I only saw the rock outline. Ok, this is like my favorite picture ever!! πŸ™‚

This is a great shot – really something more of a painting, a work of art. I think it’s one of those images where you can choose how you wish to see it and what you see. Thanks.
