Mercurial river

The ancient eavesdropper

ruffle the manes
of dandelions.

                    Earth revolves
trees sway with the tides
a sleeper wave of geese
sweeps across the sky.

               volumes —
                 I hear
            the density
               of their
               diction —
             the weight
               of heavy
                silence —
              my senses
             root bound.

  1. Lovely. Makes me feel like lying down in breezy meadow to watch clouds roll by.

  2. Gorgeous mesmerising words💕

If only we would all listen more intently — it would increase our respect for and love of Nature 🙂

    • Exactly…so very true, my friend 🙂 Do not push the river & be open to the flow. Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. Have a wonderful weekend, Carrie!
