Quietly moving

The ancient eavesdropper

A silkscreen of mist
woven over the trees
whispering softly.

Encased in silence
the tiny seed stirs
yawning cotyledons.

Worms tunnel
beneath my feet —
their powerful bodies
quiver & shake —
quietly moving
mountains.
