Hitting pitch perfect

The ancient eavesdropper

Inspiration:
a sudden invitation
to stand behind a sea
of harmonious hands
scribing in unison,
inner voices
cheering
on swift
moments,
senses stealing
alphabet bases,
shared purpose
powering
poetic swings
to hit pitch perfect,
our loaded pens
home run naturals,
grand slam
pathos arcing
over ink stained
paper walls,
signature styles
breaking out of
society’s slump,
scoring spirit
in awe-struck
silence.

I’m not (at all) into analogies to sport, but seeing poetry as transformative or something that is an effort between multiple pens is something I happily agree on. Good poem, sweet blog. Coming back later to appreciate some more.
