lies beneath
our feet
in duff, dirt
& rotten wood –
microscopic
bacteria
feeding off
the demise
of giants.

    Very insightful. Oh to envision all the layers of history beneath us. Makes me think of the new Stonehenge discovery. Even the giants will be buried one day as the centuries pass.
