Indelible tales

Each leaf
nudged from
sleep by the wind
of fervent wing beats —
trees spread their canopies
& ascend skyward.

from cloud
to cloud —
my thoughts
wander across
the sky —

A subtle breeze
whispers thru
my open window —
invisible hands
draw the
curtain back —

A lone cloud
floats in a sea
of blue sky —
an island forged
from thin air —
an ephemeral
iceberg melting
into the jet stream.

A solitary leaf
lands at my feet —
falling out of season —
the world I once knew.

A zephyr sighs
into my ear —
softly coaxing
inspiration —
with each
bated breath.

Appeal to my senses —
draw me in closer —
let me inhabit your mind —
& feel the passion inside.

Birds in flight —
scribing indelible tales
with countless feathers —
across the heavens.

The poet’s blank stare —
lost in another world —
beyond words.

You say, “lost in another world beyond words,” then out comes a whole beautiful poem. I want to go to your world beyond words, because in my world beyond words, they don’t come. Haha. Beautiful, Tyler. I love it.
