On the shoulders of Earth

The space
between two clouds
bridged by birds.

Shy buds peek out
on lofty boughs
unassuming beauty.

The river churns
spilling water outward
tributaries teeming with life.

Canopies gyrate
as the world spins
birds unhinged.

At a crosswind
a crow flies east
its feathers west.

Azure sky
the bluebird
vanishes.

Jigsaw
trees
shift
like
puzzle
pieces —
interlocking
edges
of
Earth
&
Sky —
one
seamless
moment.

From
the
forest —
a deep
silence
echoes —
roots
resonate
tree
to tree —
ground
breaking
harmonies.

Bound
for the sun —
a tree begins
its journey —
on the shoulders
of Earth.
