levitating in
their heavy state —
to the earth.

Oooh! Very nice! “shadows anchored to the earth” is the stuff of genius! Bravo, Tyler!

    • Thank you, my friend 🙂 It’s so funny because I’ve passed this metal sculpture time after time without ever snapping a photo…and this is coming from someone who finds inspiration in almost everything (and takes his fair share of photos)! The way the shadow dropped to the sculpture’s side like an anchor really provided a stark contrast between the weight of gravity and the power of flight. The hummingbirds ascend on iron wings up the spiral staircase and into the sky, where they naturally belong.
      Tyler 🙂

  2. Really great shots, Tyler!!

    • Thank you, my friend! Glad you enjoyed them 🙂 I’ve walked past this sculpture many times and never thought to take a picture (which is quite amazing, considering I find inspiration in almost anything!). What a playful and creative piece of artwork…a splendid ode to summer…a sky-high salute to pollinators! Have a fantastic week ahead 🙂
