Let it flow

Warm air
flows thru
my window —
brushing
against my
cheek —
a zephyr
playing tag —
I’m always it.

The
wind
whispers
in my ear —
revealing
distant
secrets —
faraway
sounds
draw me
nearer.

Beside
a gurgling
stream —
lost in
thought —
reflecting
on riffles —
carried
off to the
ocean.

What
minuscule
forces
converge
to erode
earth —
moulding
mountains
& river
bottoms —
nothing
immune to
the slightest
molecule.

The
churning
sensation
that sticks
in your
veins —
the
beating
of a fist
inside
your
chest —
feeling
every
hit &
miss.

I cannot
read your
mind —
you are
not an
open
book —
your
thoughts
are lost
high up
on a shelf.

Fear not
my dear
creative
souls —
for inspiration
has no
expiration —
when
the urge
to write
takes hold —
let it flow.
