See another day

The ancient eavesdropper

The sun
departs —
moonlight
sparks —
night skies
set ablaze
with stars —
matchbook
full of wishes.

The sun
returns —
moon now
a ghostly
orb —
stars fade
from our
view —
live to see
another
day —
my wish
comes true.
