Weight in gold

This year I’m really embracing my blog’s name & the inspiration behind it. Maybe I can relate to trees more than any other organism because we’re both tall, gentle giants who view the world from a different perspective…our ‘feet’ firmly planted in a sense of place, ‘head’ in the clouds, drawing life from the sun. We help each other breathe and survive, swaying our arms, reaching for the stars, scribing stories inside, casting our cares to the breeze. As a free spirit, I wish to live vicariously through these poetrees…

The ancient eavesdropper

Weight in gold

Tree stands
glowing & growing
under the sun —
throwing their
wooden weight
in gold.
