Casting off
strings of words,
stabbing hooks
through wiggling ideas,
reeling from the
weight of thought,
overboard with
our emotions.

I think I could relate to this one. Right now I am constantly fishing & trying to hook & reel in ideas from my constipated mind. Unfortunately I haven’t been successful. I hope I could fish out some expressions & ideas very soon though. For it is a bore not to write. I feel unfulfilled when I can’t write. Keep safe & stay awesome! 🙂
Thank you, my friend! I completely agree…I feel the same way 🙂 When the well runs dry, I stare down as empty as the blank page in front of me, waiting for creativity to flow again. Have a wonderful weekend & keep inspiring the world with your blog!
Cheers,
Tyler 🙂
EXACTLY. 🙂
Thank you, my friend! Glad my fishing metaphor caught your attention. With poetry, fishing or life in general, it’s all or nothing sometimes. Either you’re in the deep end over your head or dog-paddling in the shallows! Hope you had a relaxing weekend and have a wonderful week 🙂
Cheers,
Tyler
And here I thought I was weird for living in the extremes, unable to find middle-ground. It’s reassuring to know that at least one person thinks that’s that’s just how it goes!
Reblogged this on The ancient eavesdropper and commented:
Even if you are not an angler, I’m sure any writer can relate to this metaphor…
Reblogged this on Hemmingplay.
Thank you kindly for the re-blog, my friend! I greatly appreciate it 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Tyler
