Gates of Corvallis

I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend! I’d like to dedicate my 900th post to the beautiful City of Corvallis, Oregon, a place that has brought endless inspiration to my pen and lens; a community of honest, hard-working farmers, foresters, biologists, college students, artists and other diverse entrepreneurs, all nestled at the heart of the breathtaking and expansive Willamette Valley. Corvallis has granted me free range of my thoughts, this blog a testament to life lived with purpose…

The ancient eavesdropper

Gates of Corvallis

Tethered tapestries,
beautiful banded banners
hanging beneath canopies,
lipstick red fabric smacks
above as people pass
grass, pavement &
crowded tents,
colors complementing the
camouflage of campus,
bark emblazoned in
the shade, warm hues
celebrating summer days,
Christo-inspired Gates
of Corvallis, recreating
the Renaissance, embracing
a sense of place & purpose.
