Gold to gray
scaffolding,
perpendicular
freeze frames,
time caught
changing lanes,
bridges
between
night/day,
distant
inter-sleep
states,
passing
dream-
riddled
zombies,
bright bars
slide under
eyelids,
sparks fly
removing
unconsciousness,
a gray to gold
metamorphosis
unfolds,
headless
cocoon pillows,
feet flung from beds
chasing butterflies
in stomachs,
empty-handed
revelations,
hair amiss,
be careful,
look
both ways
before
crossing
traffic.

I love the analogy of bridges between night and day. Great poem and photo.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed my post. I happened to catch the light at just the right moment during the final hour of dusk. Life is all about timing, I’m always keeping a look out for golden opportunities 😉
Cheers,
Tyler
Really like this one Tyler. the whole middle section especially is delicious :
dream-
riddled
zombies,
bright bars
slide under
eyelids,
sparks fly
removing
unconsciousness,
a gray to gold
metamorphosis
unfolds,
headless
cocoon pillows,
feet flung from beds
chasing butterflies
in stomachs,
Thank you, Melanie! Glad you enjoyed my dusk to dawn poem! It was certainly a pleasure to pen and bring forth for myself and my followers. Hope you are having a relaxing weekend!
Cheers,
Tyler 🙂

I hope everyone is having a splendid day! I’m driving back to my home-sweet-home in Montana to visit Glacier Park with my wife, so I’ll be incommunicado until next Tuesday. This poem and photo have a travel theme, so I thought it would be a relevant road trip re-blog. Have a wonderful rest of the week and a relaxing weekend, my friends!
We wanted to take a vacation there, but all booked up!!
Glacier National Park is where my brother in law just went on his honeymoon.
Nice poem–happy travels!

Love the photo Tyler, it’s a very eerie but calming view. Love the combination of emotions there.
