Snappers and sardines

I find it hard keeping turtles off my mind…

The ancient eavesdropper

Snappers and sardines

Two snapping turtles in a hoop trap with sardines
Two turtle doves these ain’t
This puts “Green Eggs and Ham” to shame
All Dr. Seuss did was pull a cat from his brain

  1. Hahaha …. getting them out fun! Are they being “relocated”?

    • Yes, they are very fun to get out, always have to grab their hind feet and angle the head to the ground so they don’t arch their neck back and bite you! Since these snappers were new finds, we had to take them back to the “Turtle House” and draw their blood and give them a unique notch on the marginals of their shells so we could ID later if recaptured. After we work them up, they are released back where we found them.
      Cheers,
      Tyler 🙂
