View of Mount Jefferson from atop Battle Axe Mountain
This 6-mile climb was worth every breath and bead of sweat. At trails end, we jumped into Elk Lake to cool off, our senses soaking in the pristine beauty surrounding us, minds transfixed by a shared, transcendent experience.
