Area closed?

How absurd! An area closed out in the open!

      Good question! Thank you for asking. It’s closed from October 1st to March 31st so people won’t disturb nests of geese and other waterfowl. The day I took this picture, the Refuge was open. I just thought it seemed ironic to see a sign assigning boundaries to a boundless natural world. Hope you are having a good day

      Thank you for your lovely comment, Melanie! I wish more bloggers would share a story or memory with me. It’s all about capturing the moment from “both sides now” (to quote the title of my favorite Joni Mitchell song). The song you recited is from the album “Good-byes and butterflies” by the Canadian rock group, Five Man Electrical Band, recorded in 1970. It’s a great song and a very fitting subtext for my photo. Hope you are having a great day, my friend, and thank you for “adding some music to my day” (to quote a Beach Boys tune).
