Offering of awareness

Sparrow song flitters

across the dawn

of my Sunday

consciousness.

Otherworldly

vocal chords

beat beautiful

rhythms on my eardrums,

stirring my soul to get up

and go outside.

In gratitude, I refresh the

seed inside the bird feeder

hanging almost empty

under the eves.

I am ill-equipped to

return its chorus,

but can always offer

my awareness.

so sweet – I love listening to the birds in the morning – typically only hear them on the weekends. 🙂

    • Thank you, Kim! Yes, I will take a morning wakeup call any day from the birds. Their pleasant sing-song sure beats the heck out of the annoying alarm clock on my iphone! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend, my friend!
      Cheers,
      Tyler 🙂
