My allergies are in full force today, pollen swaying in the air under my nose like a sweetly scented piñata explosion….
Rich pigments blink anew
on alder branches aloft –
amber-colored catkins,
countless weepy, oblong
piñatas punched
by turbid air, burst forth
showers of pollen-laden haze,
sending me in sneezing fits
to my knees.
