if we never knew the life before ours.
Humans have got a problem with living at the periphery,
the center of attention is their destiny.
Will power has given us ill will towards each other,
when mankind is unkind it makes the world shudder.
Your decisions are televised nationwide each day,
it’s a state of affairs whose denial is building
one city block at a time, cold steel and cement
set to cast back decay and death.
And you, the reader, what do you say
to the blind fool and spineless lackey?
That better is behind us
and tomorrow might get us in harm’s way
but today is ripe for making a change.
