    I think besides the matador and Coke bottle, this was my most enjoyable poem to sculpt. Lost in thought one day, my mind went back to art class in college and the countless number of still life sketches we were required to produce. Apples, bananas, oranges, cupcakes, Oreos, skulls, bones and vases all spayed out on a table cloth, casting luminous evening shadows. With a laugh, I wondered if I could portray this depth in my poetry through words shaping a silhouette of a still life’s shadow. This poem was the result of my creative crossroads. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, wherever you are!
