Listless disaster

Bag all the clutter

in your life

and send it flying

off a bottomless ravine

like Thelma and Louise

in the final scene.

Collect memories

but don’t forget to

leave room for more.

Let thoughts copulate like rabbits –

tomorrow a crisp carrot to devour,

dress your garden salad with gusto,

root for the unexpected.

If you feel unsure or ignored

pound harder on that thick oak door.

You are not alone in this world.

We all live under the same hole in the ozone,

branded by what ails our egos.

Rest at night with the comfort of words,

“I love you dear.  Kiss me.  Hold me near.”

Two souls may find common ground to stand on

even if everything else is up in the air

at the brink of listless disaster.
