Summer’s Keep

with gilded gray stone
towering above
an open meadow.
Floral carpet
& granite facade
graced by the sun’s
radiance,
its warm rays
chiseling
white glaciers,
ice cold water
cascading
downward
to refresh
moat-like
aquifers.
Mountain goats
tip-toing bastion
to bastion,
covering blind
spots along
the curtain wall,
as summer
defends itself
against the
coming autumn.

Lovely poem and pic. Where is it?

    • Thank you kindly, my friend! Glad you enjoyed my photo and poem. The picture was taken at Glacier National Park (in Montana) on the trail to Hidden Lake. Big Sky Country is a place very near and dear to my heart & I’m very lucky to call it my home :) I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and all the best in the week ahead!
      Cheers,
      Tyler :)
